Woolworth’s announced the implementation of body cameras last Saturday the 17th of April.
The trail is being tested in eleven stores nationwide across NSW, Victoria, Queensland, South Australia and Western Australia. The initiative comes after reports found that abuse rates had doubled following the Coronavirus outbreak. Woolworth’s hopes that the cameras will assist in deterring customers away from inflicting abuse on team members. These recordings will only be accessible to a restricted number of people within the Woolworth’s group
