Brisbane-based Kamilaroi woman, Yvonne Orley, wants you to vote ‘yes’ in the upcoming referendum on whether to recognise Indigenous peoples as the First Peoples of Australia in the Constitution through an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Voice.
Ms Orley is part of the Labor Party Indigenous Network and Community Alliance.
The Voice will be an independent, representative body for First Nations peoples that will advise the Australian Parliament and the Government.
It will give First Nations peoples a say on matters that affect them.
