The Indigenous Intervention: Political Grandstanding?

With the Howard Government’s intervention in Northern Territory Indigenous communities now underway, voices objecting the controversial response are growing louder. The Wire spoke with Graeme Smith, from the Combined Aboriginal Organisations of Alice Springs, who says that the Federal Government is exploiting real problems within Indigenous communities in order to rally votes.
