The South Korean government have announced that they are preparing on restarting their whaling practices in their waters. Delegates state the plans to hunt whales will hopefully uncover scientific research, a stance eerily similar to the debunked ‘scientifc research’ of Japan.
Japan exploited Article 8 in the International Convention of Whaling Code in order to justify its commercial fishing practices, but are South Korea doing the same?
