Staff members at his former university in Brisbane have called for the release of journalist Peter Greste from an Egyptian prison.
In an open letter to the International Federation of Journalists, QUT Journalism staff ‘deplore harsh treatment of detainees and any unnecessary use of judicial processes against them’.
