As much as the rest of the world is aware of the refugee and asylum situation, which has burdened much of Europe in 2016, it is difficult to gain a true perspective on the reality of the situation. Borders are now closed, leaving thousands stranded and stuck. Southern sectors of Europe, such as Greece, are struggling to cope due to a lack of infrastructure. As communities work to provide aid, anxieties regarding the future of these refugees are evoking violent behaviour.
