The LGBTQI+ community is calling on New South Wales Police to start moving quickly on recommendations from the state’s gay hate inquiry. Earlier this week, the board deemed it inappropriate after a serving police officer allegedly murdered a gay couple in Sydney last week. The New South Wales Council for Civil Liberties this week hosted a forum called Queers in Conversation, where participants discussed the relationship between police and the LQGBTI+ community.
