Living in cars, struggling with mental health and dealing with crushing self-doubt are only a few of the many challenges faced by people living in poverty.
A number of them came together at Anti Poverty Network SA‘s annual conference this week to discuss the issues and identify solutions.
All agree that a significant start would be an increase to Newstart allowance, which at the moment is not enough to meet their very simplest but essential needs like food, shelter and warmth.
