Feral cats have been identified as culprits in the killing of reintroduced native species at two South Australian conservation sites.

A recent study by researchers from University of New South Wales and Adelaide University has used DNA testing to discover that feral cats are responsible for a vast number of native wildlife deaths.

While experts say controlling the feral cat population is challenging, research highlights a need for action to conserve native species from feral feline predators.
