A new research from the University of Queensland will research and develop culturally appropriate tools to diagnose anxiety and depression in the Torres Strait.
The research won a grant from Dementia Australia, which gave more than $1 million dollars in grants to research dementia and mental health.
The grant will help Dr Leandre Mitchell to be connected to the Torres Strait community to develop these tools.
