Medicare Data Leaked and Sold on the Dark Web

In a report released by the Guardian today, new findings have revealed how a ‘darknet’ trader is selling Medicare patient details for as little as $30 AUD.

Since it’s release, the article by Paul Farrell has raised a range of responses by politicians, and cyber security experts alike.

The data breach also raises broader concerns  surrounding the vulnerability of government -controlled databases.
