Yesterday the Hobart City Council was presented with an Aboriginal name for Hobart: Nipaluna.
While the council is embracing the name, some Aboriginal groups are disappointed they were not included in the process. They say a lack of inclusion within the Tasmanian Aboriginal community could hinder reconciliation efforts in the state.
