Koalas: are they treated like national treasures?

A recent year-long parliamentary inquiry into New South Whales koalas has revealed the species are on track for extinction by 2050.

Advocates are now worried about the future of the koala, especially in NSW, fearing the government will repeat history by refusing to enact necessary change.
