Yesterday on The Wire, we brought you a story about the ‘More Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders’ conference that’s been happening in Adelaide this week. It aims to get more Indigenous people working in education.
Dr Chris Sarra, from the Stronger Smarter Institute, was a key note speaker at the conference and asked his fellow teachers the question: ‘how will you be remembered as a teacher’?
Speakers:
- Associate Professor Robert Somerville AM
- Engagement and Research at the University of South Australia
- Principals Advisor at the Principals Australia Institute
- Professor Peter Buckskin
- Project Director of the More Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Teachers Initiative and Dean of Indigenous Scholarship
