South Australian Greens and Liberals both spoke out this week against the potential granting of a mining licence. The Arkaroola Wilderness Sanctuary in the northern Flinders Ranges has attracted corporate interest because of the 31,000 tonnes of uranium that lie beneath. However the Liberals are not supporting Green plans to place bans on mining in wilderness areas.
