The Democratic Audit of Australia, based at The Australian National University, conducts regular test on how healthy our democracy is. On the issue of gender equality Australia’s democracy was once a world leader. But the latest audit, on how well democracy serves Australian women, makes for pessimistic reading. One of the authors of the report, Emma Partridge is a social researcher at the Institute for Sustainable Futures, based at the University of Technology, Sydney. Today she delivered an address on the findings of her report.
