Students with ATAR’s above 80 are neglecting teaching as a viable career option due to poor pay and limited career opportunities within the field. Today, The Grattan Institute released a new report detailing their proposed $1.6 billion reform package which aims to double the number of high achievers enrolling in teaching course within ten years.

Ranked 39 of 41 middle-to-high income countries for quality of education, Australia’s education system needs urgent changes to ensure it’s future generations of students don’t struggle.
