Burma is a country under the strict control of a military junta. Everyday countless human rights abuses take place in the country because the Government isn’t doing enough to protect it’s citizens from being exploited. And now it seems a well-known international car company from the outside has stepped in to fund a project that may lead to more human rights violations. Luke White-ington from the Australian Coalition for Democracy in Burma organised a rally for the streets of Sydney today and he explains why they were marching.
