On Sunday lawyer Terri Janke will deliver the Mabo Oration speech at the Queensland Performing Arts Complex. The Mabo Oration is a bi-annual event held to commemorate the anniversary of the Mabo decision. The event is usually held in June- but this year it has been moved to coincide with a special exhibition called Torres Strait Islander: A celebration at Brisbane’s South Bank cultural precinct.
