Prime Minister Scott Morrison has unveiled a new billion dollar skills package aimed towards school leavers and young unemployed Australians to take up free subsidised short training courses at TAFE and/or private providers.
The scheme, which has been branded as JobTrainer hopes to persuade those to uptake jobs in areas including healthcare, manufacturing and retail, which could experience a high level of skill shortages once the economy begins to build up and recover from the current COVID-19 pandemic crisis.
