Events planned to highlight poverty in Australia

Events are planned across the country to raise awareness about the causes and consequences of poverty. Anti-poverty week will run from October 12 to 18. It comes as a report on housing and homelessness from the Australian Institute of Welfare shows particular groups are at risk of homelessness and poverty.
