Disability organisations call on Senate to block payout bill

Disability advocacy groups are calling on the federal senate to reject a bill establishing a payout scheme for disabled workers who have been employed in government-supported workshops. They say the plan is inadequate because it is capped at 50 per cent of what workers are actually owed and full compensation is needed.
