A high profile Indigenous businessman, award winning film maker and academic, Dr. Stephen Hagan, has started legal proceedings against Coles Express, alleging that he was the victim of racial profiling at one of their service stations in Queensland.
He was asked to pay in advance for fuel, when other non indigenous customers were not subjected to this indignity.
He has started proceedings under the Race Discrimination Act and called for a boycott of Coles Express outlets.
