Budget 2011 – Missing in action: the carbon tax

As late as two days ago federal Opposition Leader Tony Abbott was saying it’s not too late to pulp the federal budget documents and insert details of the carbon tax. Missing from last night’s budget was the details of the carbon pricing scheme. But what was there were cuts to renewable energy and energy efficiency programs. So was this a budget focussed in any way on addressing what Kevin Rudd now famously called the greatest moral challenge of our time?
