On Sunday the extremely violent attacks that took place in the Brazilian capital Brasilia, seemed to have some parallels with the attack on the US Capital 6 January 2021 after then outgoing President Trump appeared to be inciting supporters to physically stop the Senate confirmation.
Brazilian ex President Jair Bolsonaro seems to employ similar rhetoric in questioning the election validity when he lost, but there are some uniquely Brazilian elements to this episode.
