Brisbane City on was the location of a Ban the Burqa rally on the weekend, held by far-right activist group, the Australian Patriots Defence Movement (APDM). But a counter rally held by multicultural, refugee and feminist groups saw the demonstration largely drowned out by those who disagreed with the views of the APDM.
