Many in PNG feel that some sections of Australia don’t have any knowledge of their country. PM Anthony Albanese has sought to improve relations with PNG given the long relationship between the two countries.
A stronger Defence pact will aid security given the aggressive nature of Chinese expansionism in the region.
Mr Albanese stressed the relationship should move ahead as a friendship of equals.
