Amnesty International Report on Northern Territory Intervention at the United Nations

Amnesty International has put Australia’s human rights record in the spotlight this week by presenting a report to the United Nations detailing how Australia has failed to meet obligations outlined in the International Covenant on Political and Civil Rights. Amnesty’s report comes only a few weeks after a group of Indigenous Australians lodged a complaint with the UN regarding Australia’s poor performance in governing for the Indigenous population.
