Parliament is expected to pass the country’s harshest alcohol supply laws in the next month. The details of Northern Territory buyers will be run through a database before being deemed a responsible drinker. Repeated drink drivers will be amongst those considered ‘problem drinkers’ and would receive a 3 month ban on takeaway alcohol purchase.
