Alco-pop tax or alco-flop tax?

Director of the Community Alcohol Action Network at the Australian Drug Foundation, Geoff Munro, says the Government’s 70 per cent tax increase on pre-mixed alcoholic drinks is solving the problem of binge drinking in young people. But Steven Riden from the Distilled Spirits Industry Council of Australia argues that its a quick-fix tax grab and is not the answer.
