Abbott’s plan to win the grey vote with employer subsidies to hire senior Australians

Today the Coalition announced plans to attempt to tackle the problem of unemployment for those over 50 by subsidising employers if they hire older Australians. The plan has been welcomed cautiously by seniors groups, but there is some concern that the subsidy will disadvantage younger potential employees.
