Universities are calling for fee deregulation to enable them to offer a product that is competitive on the world stage. Meanwhile, students say they will be unable to meet the increased debt.
Both sides have strong voices and the key to the decision is a handful of Senate cross-benchers. The result at this point is anyone’s guess.
