For the first time in five years, euthanasia is being debated in Tasmanian parliament. Tasmania’s Voluntary Assisted Dying Bill has caused controversy Australia-wide, and doctors are divided on the issue.

Terminally-ill patients in Tasmania may soon be given the choice to die, under a private members bill being considered in state parliament. The bill would allow patients access to euthanasia, with the approval of two doctors.
