Is ‘Presentism’ the way of the future?

During election time, it’s easy to get caught up in the furor of political campaigns but who’s thinking about the children? Or even the children of our children? A new term known as ‘Presentism’ describes the natural bias to implementing short-term policies and neglecting future generations. But what are the ramifications for this shortsightedness and what can be done about it?
