Australians need to take allergic and immune diseases more seriously or there may be some dire consequences, according to immunologist Professor Susan Prescott.
Susan is the author of a new book The Allergy Epidemic: A Mystery of Modern Life, which reveals that 1 in 10 Australian infants are affected by potentially life threatening food allergies. The book also shows that Australia has one of the highest allergy rates in the world – I spoke with Professor Prescott earlier to find out why.
