One community that runs its own health service is Kintore, 500 kilometres west of Alice Springs in the Northern Territory. The Pintabi Homelands health service has a resident doctor, provides dental services and has bought its own dialysis machine…and they’re looking forward to the arrival of their own ultra sound.
