Riots at Christmas Island Detention Centre last night have raised serious concerns over the well-being and treatments of those living there. The Australian Human Rights Commission held a lecture in Sydney today, calling once again for Australia’s mandatory detention policy to be scrapped and the human rights abuse being suffered by detainees to be exposed.
