The NT Government has announced sweeping new reforms aimed at tackling the Territory’s grog problem. Territorians consume alcohol at roughly one and a half times the rest of the country. A card system that bans problem drinkers, massive fines for illegal supply and a treatment-focused approach to offenders are the main features of the plan which comes into effect in July this year.
