Despite the third anniversary of the apology to the stolen generations taking place on Sunday, many Aboriginal social indicators continue to fall short of the lofty goals frequently promised for them. A particularly controversial issue is that of Aboriginal deaths in custody, which critics say is partly down to inherent racism in police forces throughout the country.
