This afternoon the government responded to the backlash from farmers and irrigators about the Murray Darling Basin Authorities proposed cuts by launching an inquiry into the human costs of the plan. Danny O’Brien from the National Irrigator’s Council hopes the government takes into account the frustration of the surrounding communities.
