Lawmakers in Indonesia are calling for a hardline Muslim group to be banned after they launched a campaign of violence and intimidation against targets they have deemed “un-Islamic”. The Islamic Defenders Front, or FPI, have recently attacked priests, churches and businesses in the Indonesian city of Bekasi. They claim to be defending the area from a supposed wave of “Christianisation”.
