He’s been more appreciated and decorated in other parts of the world than in Australia but tonight controversial journalist John Pilger will be honoured in his own country. He’s on a rare visit here to accept the 2009 Australian peace prize at a ceremony at the Sydney Opera House tonight. He will speak on the issue of media outspokenness in Australia in a speech called “Breaking the Silence”.
