Australia’s state and territory governments are today considering the recommendations made by the Victoria Bushfires Interim report. Emergency Services Minister, Steve Whan, has already said he will retain the controversial ‘stay or go policy’ for New South Wales. But with the likelihood of more intense bushfire seasons, perhaps bringing more ‘national’ disasters, shouldn’t policy changes be the same across the country?
