New privacy laws could stop the public’s voracious appetite for celebrity gossip. Draft submissions from the Australian Law Reform Commission to the government have recommended a stronger enforcement of privacy laws. This could mean that people who find their privacy breached resort to litigation. And those most likely to experience this- tend to be celebrities.
