The number of homeless youth has doubled in the last two decades, as shown by the findings of a new report released today by the National Youth Commission The results of the inquiry prompted calls for a one billion dollar injection of funding into youth prevention programs and services. Co-author of the report Associate Professor David Mackenzie, says that the findings need to be treated with the same urgency and determination as issues like water and climate change.
