As another day begins in Zimbabwe, the world waits nervously – concerned delayed election results will spark violence. The opposition party- the Movement for Democratic Change, is currently leading with 46 parliamentary seats, although President Robert Mugabe’s party, the Zimbabwe African National Union- is behind by only 3 seats. Zimbabwe is currently battling astronomical inflation, and Mugabe, who has controlled the country for 28 years, has been accused of widespread human rights abuses.
