Global warming already exceeded 1.5 degrees, new research finds

Earlier this year researchers at the University of Western Australia’s Ocean Institute found global warming had already exceeded 1.5 degrees.

The research found global warming had increased 0.5 degrees more than previously estimated and that the industrial-era warming began earlier than previously thought, in the mid-1860s.
