Whilst facing a continuing COVID-19 crisis (only the US has recorded more cases), the Modi government in India is now facing another substantial problem- strikes and public protests.
Indian farmers continue to protest against a set of new laws which they claim will threaten their livelihoods.
Another general strike is expected tomorrow – the previous strike on Nov. 26th saw 250 million Indian workers down tools for the day.
