Eden-Monaro by-election: Two local women contest the seat

The Eden-Monaro by-election will now be a contest between Liberal Dr Fiona Kotvojs, a local beef farmer, and Labor’s Kristy McBain, previously the Mayor of Bega Valley.

The Nationals remain undecided about whether to field a candidate.

The continuing distress experienced by residents of the area during and after the horrific bush fires is likely to be a major focus of campaigning.
