Mother Mary and Jesus Christ Get An Indigenous Makeover

Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Alice Springs has commissioned an Aboriginal Artist in Kathleen Wallace, who has designed a new sanctuary window of an Indigenous Baby Jesus and Mother Mary. The window is one of the first of its kind, and is a symbol of the growing relations between Catholicism and Indigenous Australians.
